It seams like lately it has been moving faster then ever and it is all I can do just to keep up. Now that everything is settling down I will catch up on my blogging and continue to find my place in this ever-changing thing called life :-)
Ok so I left off in November 2011:
Thanksgiving was AMAZING!!! I got my taste back just in time to make 2 huge turkeys and a gallon of gravy. That’s right a whole gallon! We had about 35 people (most of our closest friends in Tahoe) over and it went down as one of the best thanksgivings ever!
December:
Wow! It came and went so fast! We had NO snow! It was not a white Christmas in Tahoe this year. That was sad and depressing. But to force our selves into the holiday spirit Macy and I spontaneously decided we needed a Christmas tree. So we drove over to a undisclosed location, picked it out, cut it down, drove it home, and there we had it :-) this may or may not be legal it is still undecided. Haha. We had fun decorating it and enjoyed sitting around it. I spent Christmas with my family down in Folsom and it was so nice having that quality time with them. Even as the years have gone by we still manage to hold on to allot of our same traditions.
January 2012:
After all the stress that was in December I need every thing to calm down and settle. Roommates moved out and then there were 3 of us. The change was nice and life was quiet and slower. I started to focus again on my relationship with God and start to figure out and sort through all that occurred in the previous month. Change was most defiantly the theme for this month though. Just when I was getting comfortable with where my life was at this time I got a WONDERFUL call. I was hanging out with my dear friend Jen ( a long over due hang out date!) and I got a call from Renown Medical Hospital in Reno that they wanted to see me for a Interview!!!! I was so excited! Well 3 interviews later and I got the call that I was being hired on full time!!! All the glory goes to God! He placed me there at the exact right time. Well the rest of January was full of preparations for starting my new job at the beginning of February. I gave notice to my old job and I gave my self a week off before I started my new Job at Renown. With that week I went to Florida to visit my friend Nicole :-) It was a wonderful trip where were able to just catch up and relax in each other’s presence.
February:
Well I started my new Job and my new routine. For the first time in 6 years I have a full weekend off! I love the consistency in my schedule and how God has worked everything out! I stay with my Amazing Aunt and Uncle a few days a week and the rest of the time I am in Tahoe. I have been growing so much in my walk with the Lord it is so awesome. February also brought a awesome trip to Pismo Beach with my Tahoe College group! It was so fun escaping reality for a few days and spending some quality time with friends.
March:
I have officially been single for a year. Getting past that date has been so freeing! God truley rescued me from that relationship. I know I am ment for bigger and greater things. It is my 2nd month here in Reno and I am beginning to figure out my place here. I am so busy now I have something going on almost every day. It has really been hard because I don’t officially live anywhere right now and my time is so limited. I am part time in Reno and in Tahoe. Also Reno is so new to me I don’t know anyone here and I don’t know where any thing is. I have started going to a college group with one of the churches here but I haven’t really connected with any one yet. I am praying and hoping God will bring me friends to connect with here in Reno. The snow finally decided to show up! I have been skiing every day I am off simply because I love it so much! Being on Ski Patrol has not been the easiest this year but I am so greatful for the people I work with because we really do save lives.
Well that is a very quick catch up from the past few months. More will come!
